Our Pharmaceuticals

Our organization was established by our Director / CEO in the year 2006. We both have a strong personal relationship for more than three decades. Preliminary discussions of having a new member "Pharmaceuticals" division to the Ominro Medicals (Pvt) Ltd. family was proposed in the year 2016. Both of us and his wife (Arosha) were exchanging our views and ideas. We decided to turn our vision into reality and proceeded to lay the foundation to build the Pharmaceuticals division.

We are proud to say that we made it happen and take the opportunity to warmly welcome the Global Pharmaceuticals / Nutraceuticals and Veterinary Manufacturers and Exporting Business Organizations to join hands with us to include the "Pearl of the Indian Ocean" SRI LANKA on your Exports Map.

I started my career as a Medical Representative in 1979 with Bayer (Germany) Schering AG (Germany) and Boots (England). I held many Senior Manager positions within the consumer industry and worked as the Country Manager for SEARLE PAKISTAN LTD (Subsidiary of G.D Searle USA) Sri Lanka & Maldives for 13+ years. I immigrated to Canada in 2007 and joined one of the top six financial institutions.

Professionally I have completed my education in Business Management / Marketing / Sales Management with private educational institutions affiliated to the UK in Sri Lanka. I am a Member of Toastmasters in Canada and held positions as Vice President - Public Relations and Vice President Membership.

I have well over three decades of success and professional expertise with the Private Sector Organizations; State Pharmaceuticals Corporation / Medical Profession - Pediatrics /Cardiologists/ Psychiatrists/General Physicians/Family Private Physicians/ Local Health Authorities and the Semi- Government Institutions. We have our resources to establish your Organization and Products in Sri Lanka.

We can guide you with the steps in registration on all three product portfolios with the respective regulatory authorities in Sri Lanka. Currently we are in negotiations with some organizations in different countries and already in the process of preparing their registration dossiers for Sri Lanka.

The Global and Sri Lankan community is in the process of a rapid change over to "Live Healthy with a Wise Lifestyle" is boosting the need for Nutraceuticals.

The worldwide nutraceutical market is anticipated to be around 722.49 billon between 2021 - 2026 with an annual compound rate of 8.3 percent. As per a research reports the market size for pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals in Sri Lanka was worth USD 642 million in 2018, which the experts are expecting to reach USD 787 million growing at the CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of 4.1 percent.

We look forward to have manufacturers / exporters with quality "Nutraceuticals" products derived from food sources with extra health benefits in addition to the basic nutritional value found in foods. Nutraceuticals are considered to be healthy sources for the prevention of life-threatening diseases such as diabetes, renal and gastrointestinal disorders, as well as different infections.
